Questions for couples: 60 to ask each other
Light ones, deep ones, and the ones you never thought to ask. Pick a theme, or let chance choose, and take turns answering.
One of you reads a question, and both of you answer, the one who read it first. There are no wrong answers and no scores: the point is to hear something new. Ten questions make a good evening; one a day keeps the habit.

Why these questions work
A good question for a couple cannot be answered with yes or no, and it asks for a memory or a reason rather than an opinion. We sorted these sixty from light to deep: the first themes suit a long evening together, the deep ones a quiet night, and the funny ones come back whenever the conversation needs air.

Questions people ask
How do you play questions for couples?
Take turns: one of you reads a question and answers first, then the other answers. There is nothing to win. The only rule worth keeping is to listen to the whole answer before replying, then to ask one question back — that is where the conversation really starts.
What are good deep questions to ask your partner?
Questions that ask for a memory, a fear or a hope rather than a yes or a no: when did you last cry, what do you find hardest to forgive, when do you feel most like yourself. Keep them for a calm evening, one or two at a time, and never use them as a test.
How many questions should we ask in one evening?
About ten is plenty, mixing the themes: two light ones to start, a few about the two of you, one or two deep ones, and a funny one to finish. Going through all sixty at once turns a conversation into a questionnaire.
Is there an app with a question for couples every day?
Pomia has one: each day one of you asks a question and the other guesses the answer, and a flame counts the days you both kept it up. On your own, it becomes a would-you-rather. Pomia is an iPhone app, on the App Store since 30 September 2026.
